Daily Prayer – 5th July, 2025

Good morning beloved child of God.
“I ask the nations to give praise to God for his mercy” (Rom 15:8,9).
O praise the Lord, all you nations.

Fasting is typically for mourning, and Jesus was in the presence of His disciples…why mourn when God is literally walking by your side It is here in this illustration where we see that when we get to heaven there will be rejoicing rather than mourning!!! Remember Jesus explained this truth in the Beatitudes as well. (SLIDE)

Psalm 117

O praise the Lord, all you nations,
acclaim him all you peoples!

Strong is his love for us;
he is faithful for ever.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

TODAY’S WORD: And Jesus said to them, “Can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? The days will come, when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast. And no one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch tears away from the garment, and a worse tear is made. Neither is new wine put into old wineskins; if it is, the skins burst, and the wine is spilled, and the skins are destroyed; but new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved.” (Matt 9:15ff)

DAILY PRAYER: Lord Jesus, fill me with your Holy Spirit, that I may grow in the knowledge of your great love and truth. Help me to seek you earnestly in prayer and fasting that I may turn away from sin and willfulness and conform my life more fully to your will. May I always find joy in knowing, loving, and serving you.” Amen.

The Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Think positive. It is well with you. God is in control. Have a blessed and fulfilling day.
