Read Mt. 25:31-46
Friend, God wants and he intends for us to be a ‘full-service’ station equipped and committed to serving the needs of others. That is why he has blessed us so that we can become blessings to others by giving us gifts according to our capabilities (cf. v.15). How we use these gifts matters a lot, which amounts to why I keep saying that we can never be too disadvantaged to be sensitive and generous, showing the mercy face of God.

Sincerely and honestly we need to somehow consciously move away from our “serve-us” syndrome to “service” faith Christians (cf. James 2:17). We need to start thinking of others now, for that is the mind of Jesus – to be of service to others as evident in Mt. 20:28; Mk.10:45, especially in Jn.13:12-17 “…if I, then, your Lord an Master, have washed your feet, you also must wash one another’s feet” (v.14).
Yes, going for masses, fellowships, programs, night vigils, praise and worship sessions, listening to inspiring messages/ sermons, getting the priest/ pastor to pray over you is very good. But Jesus is saying to you, it’s not how good you feel when you leave those places that counts, what is most important is how you live out your faith on a daily basis and how you respond to the needs of others (Mt. 25:34-40).
I know it is not practically possible to engage in all (Mt. 25:35-36) at the same time but you can comfortably be involved in at least three of them. You see God on a daily basis creates wonderful opportunities where we can be of service. It’s just there, you don’t really need to look hard, all that is needed is just to yield to the Spirit of service according to your capability (cf. Mt. 25:15) but using “It’s my capability” as an excuse to perform bellow your very best.
Today my friend identify ways you can be of profitable service and at the same time repent of lost opportunities to have been of service that you didn’t take advantage of.
Sing too “God of mercy and compassion” and “I need thee every hour.” Study Deut. 25.
SHEPHERD ME O LORD BEYOND MY STRENGTH.
