Read Mt. 8:1-5
Would you retreat and surrender just because your situation is getting tougher and rougher as the day goes by? No justifiable end in sight? Hey!!! Hang on there. Let me tell you something, there is an expiring date to everything under the heavens, even with that situation you are experiencing now.
Here is a testimony to this fact. Just last Saturday here, a 45yrs old lady’s spinsterhood got expired, a man married her. Just last year she ha asked for God’s Kingdom should come (ie world should come to an end) all because her younger ones that she took care of were married, and sad enough one died in her arms last year after child birth. So what was there to life? I declare this same good news and victory for you.
When I heard it I smiled because it confirmed to me that God in Christ Jesus will also bring to expiry your frustrating. By the way I intend sending her a message. Now that she has “tested a man legally” and no longer missing in action (now a Mrs somebody) a day honeymoon is enough for her, let God’s Kingdom come (world should end) for her as she had prayed for (please don’t say am wicked ooo or shout, I just only wanted her wish to com true. Don’t mind me please, something to make you scream and smile).
This leprous man knew there was an expiring date for his illness. He must be well again, and only one person can guarantee him that – Jesus. Enough of this societal stigma, I must be free and happy, he assured himself. Just like the woman with the issue of blood, it was a no retreat no surrender situation. I must forge ahead no matter what the society thinks of me.
He took the greatest risk in his life with no thought of rejection or denial from Jesus. “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean” (v.2). Invariably saying, “I depend only on You, Lord. I trust you will not let me go empty handed. If you say today is not my day, so be it for I will still trust you.

What would you expect from the merciful Father other than to comply (cf. Lk. 11:13)? “I do want to, be cleansed” says Jesus (v.3). Remember what Jesus told the woman at the well in Jn. 4:10 – “if you only knew the gift of God and he who is asking you for a drink, you yourself would have asked, and He would have given you living water.” Would you forge ahead against all odds and ask of the Lord?
Pray meditatively with the song: “Remember me, remember me, remember me, O Lord. Remember me, remember me, remember me, O Lord.” As well as with “I surrender all.” Study today Deut. 30.
SHEPHERD ME O LORD BEYOND MY STRENGTH.
