Yes, you really need to raise that voice, that cry for help to him. You don’t need to keep silent anymore, but be very careful not to loose your patience.
Impatience my friend is a serious and dangerous barrier to our victory in Christ Jesus. It is a terrible vice and the deceiver of our souls knows that and how to push us to that limit, that cracking point were we will loose all trust, confidence and hope in God. It makes one feel that God is too slow or a deceiver.
Impatience destroys ones confidence, hope and will power. It discourages and makes one to complain all the time, breeding rebellion. It is a terrible sin and it’s consequence is always disastrous. The Israelites were bitten by fiery serpents in the wilderness, which brought death to many because they grew impatient with God and complained against him (Num. 21:4-7). Moses could not enter the promised land because he lost his patience at the waters of Meribah (cf. Num. 28:12-14; Deut. 32:48-52). When the people lost it and rebelled as a result of the ill report on the land they went to spy, all who came out of Egypt and saw the glory of God perished in the wilderness (cf. Num. 14:21-23; Ps. 95:7-11).
King Saul lost his kingdom too as a result of impatience. He was meant to wait for Samuel at Gilgal to offer worship to God before going for battle. He could not wait an extra hour for Samuel after the stipulated time had elapsed and performed the sacrifice himself. He was rebuked for his impatience and was told that his kingship will not last for not doing what was commanded him (cf. 1 Sam. 13:8-14).
Friend, you have endured enough. Don’t allow the devil to rob you of your victory through impatience even as you have refused to remain silent. Ps. 27:14 says “put your trust in the Lord be strong and courageous; yes, put your hope in the Lord!” Remember, God is ever true to his name (cf. Ps. 23:3), and can never be late. Just be patient for you will see and experience the Lord’s goodness.
