Episode 0002: John 1:29
The next day John saw Jesus coming towards him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
- Do you know who Jesus is and if you really do, do you show him to others so that they too may know him?
- Do you know that Jesus came for a mission and that you are part of that mission?
- Jesus’ mission was to take away sin, in order to reconcile us with God. To redeem man; win and bring man back to his creator and God
- Do you know that his wasn’t a self fulfilled mission?
- Jesus is the plan of God for our salvation
- Jesus came in an era when animals were slaughtered to appease God, hence He is symbolized as a Lamb – a sin offering /that, which is to be sacrificed for sin.
- Jesus is also symbolized as a lamb – a sign of humility – not self humility/righteousness but, the Lamb of God.
- What is the source of your humility/righteousness? Don’t confuse stupidity or foolishness for humility. Don’t act on self righteousness.
- He is symbolized as a Lamb (not a goat), a willing, a sweet and an acceptable sacrifice unto God.
- Do you doubt that the sin of the world has really been taken away? Read up John 1:12-13! Above all, Jesus’ mission is that of love, love of God!
Now that you know these things, what does Good Friday mean to you?
