The Accuser of the Brethren

Have you ever been tempted to commit a sin or an illicit act only to be accused or condemned by the tempter for the very act which you have committed?

The very person who tempts, lures, advises or encourages you to do evil would be the first to stand against you at the time of judgement. When the chips are down, s/he would decry your sinful ways and present you to the higher authority. In all, this accuser would ensure that you join him/her in the state of condemnation.

While the bible says in Revelations 12:9-11

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

From the very passage it is revealed that the very deceiver is the accuser of the brethren. The very person who lures you into an evil act is the very persons who castigates you before others.

Everyone claims that they have been tempted by the devil; it is the same devil that tempts you that accuses you before God, day and night. He stands against you at the throne of judgement.

Thank God we have the blood of the Lamb, and the word of our testimony; Thank God, we love not our lives, nor the temptation or sin that desires to have us.

Before I end this piece, remember the word of God in Genesis 4:7

If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

Salvation has come! Do not let sin overcome you, learn to do what is right. The excuses and deceit of the evil has no power over us. We must be aware of this and live by this testimony. We must seek Jesus for he has the power to redeem us.

Be wise, the Kingdom of God is here for us!
