Day 20
Present your fears before God and counter them in faith
Introduction:
What are your fears? What are you afraid of encountering? What limits you? What makes you a lesser individual than you should be? What is that thing that starves you of hope; drains your strength; blurs your vision; and seems to kill your dreams? What is holding you back on your life’s journey? Present that before God today!
Even the disciples experienced fear. Sometimes life brings with it, threatening situations like a storm. Of course you know how they overcame theirs. Other times it was Government officials asking for tax, or was it when they (the disciples) were locked up in a room for fear of the Jews. There were times they even planned to abandon the work of God for fear of the future. Fear is real and we all have reasons to be afraid, to doubt or backslide.
It is important to present these fears before God. The only person to show your fears to is God. Show him that you are afraid, confess your weakness, your lack, and your ineptitude – “depart from me Lord for I am a sinner” this was Peter’s response when Peter, the professional fisherman was taught how to fish by a carpenter’s son.
You feel that your ‘faith/word’ is not moving the mountain – so you think you lack faith, not so! Yes, sometimes our faith seems weak, slim, little, but it is enough. Presenting your fears to God is just enough faith that you can ever need to overcome your fears.

Reflection:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty! This is a declaration of faith; that God is Omni-potent and nothing is beyond God. Do you really know the meaning of this declaration?
Prayer:
Dear God, I believe in you the Almighty God, the Omnipresent, the Omnipotent, the Omniscient, the great provider, receive my weakness and wickedness today and replace with your power and righteousness. Empty me of my foolishness and fears and fill me with your wisdom and courage for you hold me by your powerful hand in Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
