Thank God with all your heart, for he has won you for his own, he is your father
Introduction:
As a Christian, what gives me great joy is that my God has called me his child. There is not greater elevation or honour; there is no greater love or bond; there is no greater joy that can fill the heart. 
For those who believe, he gave them power to become children of God. From the depth of my heart, I thank God for this unique invitation to be heir to his gracious throne in Jesus Christ. As a child of God I rank above many. How can this be explained? You are exalted to a new status a new you. I have God’s support in all my endeavours. You become a god in the God-man – Jesus Christ the incarnate Word. But like Jesus, this is achieved by humility and not arrogance.
I thank you Lord with all my heart for receiving me as your son. May I live life worthy of the calling!

Reflection:
In truth, the only appellation that pleases me the most is to be called a child of God, the child of the Most High God, the King of Kings and the Lord of lords; a heir to the exalted throne in Jesus Christ. Do you really understand what it feels to be the child of God? How would you feel if your earthly father, uncle or close relative was made the president/leader/royal head of your locality, state or country? It gives you a sense of self-worth and air of confidence – just my point.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, there is one thing I ask today, that I become a good child that you would be proud of, in the mighty name of Jesus, amen!
