The Monthly Devotional (TMD)
1st Week
Day 5
Present your plans before God, reflect, pray and consult God for directions
Introduction:
The popular saying goes; do not put all your eggs in one basket. I would rather have all my eggs in one basket and hand them over to God. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith; He reminds us that his plans for us are that of good. In fact, he is our shepherd leading us to green pastures.
He is the oldest, the wisest, the most experienced in the affairs of humans; who would you rather entrust your affairs to? Whose counsel is surest? Whatever it is; health, wealth, family, relationship, love, business, finances, education, skill, to mention a few, God is the giver of all gifts. He alone can bless your hands and the work of your hands.
One thing is important, set your plan before God; ensure they are in line with his will; reflect, pray and seek his guidance. God led over 650,000 people through the sea and through the desert; He is a professional in navigating his children unto greatness if you trust in him.
Bible Passage:
- Jeremiah 10:23
- Jeremiah 29:11
- Exodus 15:1-22
- Psalm 23; 119:105
- Hebrews 12:2
Reflection:
Even God navigates his children through the wilderness, on sea beds and on water.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, you are my shepherd and I cannot lead myself, I present before you my life, my thoughts, my action, my family and my being – please take control and guide my plans and path. I also place into your loving care – my work and play, my relationships and endeavours as I depend on your wisdom and guidance to espouse the right attitude. Lead my affairs in accordance with your will and purpose for my life, in Jesus name I pray, amen!
